LAVENHAM LITERARY FESTIVAL 2017
The fifth Lavenham Literary Festival is fast approaching!
The programme of events for this year’s festival on 17-19 November will again provide an opportunity to hear an array of talented and interesting speakers, covering a wide range of topics.
The Festival will include 9 speaker sessions in the Village Hall over Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November, including LLF ‘favourites’ Clare Mulley and Tracy Borman. International bestselling authors Sophie Hannah, Adele Geras and Erica James (in conversation with BBC Radio 4 personality, JP Devlin) have also agreed to come. Other speakers include Daisy Hay (Mr and Mrs Disraeli: A Strange Romance); Greg Votolato (The Golden Age of Ocean Liners); Thomas Harding (Blood on the Page), as well as a panel of excellent biographies discussing the approach to writing about Winston Churchill).The speaker for the final session on the Sunday afternoon is the Reverend Richard Coles (Bringing in the Sheaves).In addition to his duties as a parish priest, Richard is well known for his Radio and TV appearances and the fact that he was one half of the pop band The Communards in the 1980’s.
